NX6: settings won't save after exit
NX6: settings won't save after exit
(OP)
When I exit the file (any file) and come back later, all my toolbars and preferences have reverted to the "out of the box" settings. I changed the customer defaults to reflect my preferences, but the files still open with the default settings. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I changed to the second option and now it saves my toolbar settings to the last configuration when I exited the application. I am a contractor at a microsized firm, just here for a brief period, and there is no support. It's great to have a knowledge base that I can access discretely anywhere I work. Thanks again.

If you discover that what you're wishing to change is a Part specific item, you will need to open the part file and edit/modify the specific issue directly in the part file.
To learn which items are Part and which are Session specific, go to Customer Defaults and select the 'Find Default' option (the binocular icon) and type in the word 'all' and when the list is generated, scroll to the far right and select the heading titled 'Scope' and you will now have all the items sorted according 'Part' versus 'Session'. If you wish to examine them more closely or to get a record of what's is or is not available, export the defaults to the spreadsheet using the 'Manage Current Settings' option (the eyeball icon) where one of the options allows you to export the contents of the default system to Excel, where you can 'slice & dice' the data however you wish.
