Advanced Sim: how to specify only (+) buckling modes? (NX6)

NX6.0.1.5 MP1 Advanced Simulation

Is there a way to filter calculated modes so that only positive (or negative) modes are returned?  Might this be an input parameter or user specified text etc?

Solver is NX Nastran.

RE: Advanced Sim: how to specify only (+) buckling modes? (NX6)

I'm not quite sure what do you mean by positive and negative modes?

Buckling modes can be positive or negative; oftentimes you are really only interested in one or the other.

Answer:

To limit the returned buckling modes, change the Buckling Method Mode Generation setting from Modes Only to Modes/Frequency.  (Right-click on Subcase - Buckling Method under the buckling solution in Sim -> Edit Solution Step ...).  Change the Lower Limit in the Frequency Range from 0 (default) to 1 or whatever you desire.  Also, in the same settings dialoge, you can change the number of desired modes to be output.
