Publish ipart problem

Publish ipart problem

Publish ipart problem

(OP)
I created an ipart ( an end plate with rows of holes )
that works find as an ipart but when I published it to the content library the plate size changes ok but the number of rows do not change.
I used pattern feature to the create the holes and vary the parameter of the rows.
In the family table the row number are ok but they do not update the feature parameter
Any suggestions.

Regards
Gary Bosden

RE: Publish ipart problem

Hi, Gary
Got the same problem with a flanged spigot. Pattern the holes in the flange, created an Ipart with sizes from 80nb to 600nb. When I click on the table all parts work fine, when I publish the part and insert one from the library, all I get is 8 holes which is the 80nb the 600nb should have 20.
AutoDesk have now got my model file and are looking into the problem, as soon as I hear anything I will get back to you.

Dave

RE: Publish ipart problem

Hi, Gary

Got the answer to the problem from Autodesk, have just changed my model and it works.
Go to into the Content Centre Editor.
Right Click on the family and edit the family properties.
Go to the Parameter Mapping Tab and then to the Template Parameters within that.
Find the Hole parameter (you will notice that the Template Parameter field is blank).
Press the ellipsis (browse) button on the right hand side.
From the list of parameters select the Hole from the User section.
OK the dialog boxes away.
Use the refresh option on the Content Centre editor window and then say done.
Place the model into the assembly and the number of holes should now come through.
Hope this helps
Regards
Dave
