Can anyone give me any information on why this material has not been assigned a P Number?  Especially considering its equivalents SA-182 F9 forging and SA-217 C12 casting have been (P5B group 1).

I think SA-387 Gr 9 (UNS-S50400) shall be included in P nember 5B as all other 9CrMo materials.

This plate material is not approved for B&PV use because it is not listed in Section II, Part D, Table I.

Yes, metengr, I checked there too, so I realize that.  Is there perhaps a reason why?  It makes no sense to me why it's not a recognized material.
