(OP)
I am using SW07 and trying to have AR (As Requried) displayed in the QTY box of the BOM. It appears that this was an option in past versions but I am unable to figure it out in SW07. Thanks for the help.

RE: "As Requried" in a BOM

Just double-click the QTY cell for the component to edit its contents.

cheers

RE: "As Requried" in a BOM

Rubus16,
I do not remember AR as anything other than what CorBlimeyLimey said.

We put an Equation in our QTY column in the SolidWorks Bill Of Material.
The Equation is as follows:

={2}IF('UoM'="EA";'QTY';IF('UoM'="FT";('Length'/12)" FT";IF('UoM'="LGE";('Length');IF('UoM'="NA";"0";'QTY'))))

In a part model we have the Property Name UoM

This means that when the Property Name UoM equals NA a 0 is put into the QTY value.
