Rectangular API 650 Tank Design

I need to design a 12'x12'x8'RECTANGULAR API650 Tank for the design pressure of 1PSI but unable to find appropiate reference material. Can anybody suggest section of API 650 , (book or article) for this design ? Thanks in advance for your support.

RE: Rectangular API 650 Tank Design

API 650 doesn't cover rectangular tanks.

I think Roark's Formulas for Stress and Strain has some information on stresses in rectangular tanks.

10000...

Yup....I agree with the statements above

Your rectangular tank is not an API 650 tank....It is "some thing else"

A methodology exists in the Blodget text "Welded steel structures" on the design and evaluation of rectangular tanks.

I belive that a UK standard was published addressing the design and fabrication requirements of pressed-steel rectangular tanks.
