Bolted Flange

Bolted Flange

Bolted Flange

(OP)
I am trying to re-run the Cosmos simulation I did for thread725-235947: Understanding Bolt Capacity.  Compared to my original simulation, I enlarged my screws, shrunk my flange down, and increased the external force.  It is apparent from looking at my new stress plot that there is a substantial tensile force at the centre of my base which makes my results nonsense.

Is there a way to model accurately a clamped face?  I am using a fixed restraint, which I believe produced sufficiently accurate results on my first model.

What I need to model is a face loaded in compression such that it will separate if it sees any tension force.
