UV Dose for Wastewater Disinfection

UV Dose for Wastewater Disinfection

(OP)
Is there a minimum UV dose required by the EPA for disinfection of treated wastewater? I have found literature suggesting 40 mJ/cm2 for drinking water, but am looking for requirements regarding wastewater.

RE: UV Dose for Wastewater Disinfection

NWRI guidelines required 80 mj/cm2 at 65% UVT for an application I worked with.  I'm pretty sure that NWRI sets different requirements depending on if the wastewater is being used for re-use.

RE: UV Dose for Wastewater Disinfection

The UV dosage will depend on how much solids are in the water. Since that varies, you can not have a definitive answer to your question.

What do you mean by "treated water"?
