career advice

(OP)
i am a graduate from an engineering school with a BS in electrical engineering and have passed the EIT and LEED AP test. I plan on taking the PE test next year hopefully

I graduated from school in may 05

I am kind of confused on what I should be doing to gain more knowledge in my field and help my career. I work for an engineering firm that designs buildings. I have bought a couple of books these past ocuple of months and am trying to read them to gain more knowledge.

I have looked into these options and am undecided if they will help me and worth the money, if you could please let me know what you think

Power System Certificate
Project Management Certificate
CLEP (Just received the paper work for it yesterday in the mail never heard of it be4 its from AEE)
Or try to take some seminars (not really sure which would be that helpful)

Thank you, sorry for the long post

RE: career advice

The PMP certificate is a good one in my opinion, and something I myself will most likely pursue after my PE. There are a few different schools that offer programs in the area, most of which are online. The PMP certification is a hot commodity nowadays, and you could probably even get your company to pay for the courses.

I think I might try to pursue that but I need more experience, thank you for the input
