Can anyone provide me with a circuit for Inst' amp front end buffer and mux circuit to read multiple thermocouples (k type).  Linearisation can be done in firmware.  V. noisy environment (under the hood).

RE: Thermocouple/Analog mux

Burr-Brown, not part of Texas Instruments makes numerous Instrumention amps.  Most you set the gain with a single resistor.
Use one Inst. amp per thermocouple.  Follow the datasheets for decoupling caps and power supply.
For the mux, use one of the many available.  Analog Devices makes some very good ones.  Again, follow the datasheets.
