Axial Vibrations in motors

Axial Vibrations in motors

Axial Vibrations in motors

(OP)
In a 2 pole motor 50 Hz, 6600 v supply, The axial vibrations are high in the No Load Condition un coupled run test, to the tune of 8.2 mm / sec - RMS  on the Non Drive End Side and on the Drive end side they are 4.6 mm /sec - RMS.The Horizontal and Vertical vibrations are to the tune of 4.2 mm/ sec and 3.6 mm /sec respectively.
The bearings are sleeve bearings with free floating rotor.
A rotor hunting of about 4 mm is also observed.
Kindly send any remedy for the above case.

Can we couple the motor to the water feed pump and will the axial vibrations reduce.
Best Regards,

Nichani
