AutoCAD .iges into Ansys

AutoCAD .iges into Ansys

AutoCAD .iges into Ansys

(OP)
I imported an .iges from AutoCAD into Ansys but the scale of the geometry came in way off - 4 inch thick plate became a 0.25 inch thick plate.

The same thing happens when I bring in a .step file from AutoCAD.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

RE: AutoCAD .iges into Ansys

You seem to know what the scale factor should be.  What I would advise is once imported to scale within Ansys.  In /PREP7 go:

Modeling -> Operate -> Scale -> ...

You should be able to find what you're looking to do under there.
