Colored cross sections in drawings.

(OP)
I am trying to get the cross section in my assembly drawing to use the colors native to the model. It's been difficult since shaded viewing options aren't allowed in cross sections?

RE: Colored cross sections in drawings.

If you want to show the shaded view of the cross section in the drawing, just put an assembly cut in the model and then show that in the drawing.

Alternatively you can recolour the hatching by changing the systems colours or by breaking up the drawing and changing the linetype of the hatching details...this takes ages to do though!

good luck
