(OP)
i need to know if there's a way to make an hyperlink in nx4.
i have a library of common components that i use frequently,
and i want to use them in several differents assemblies.
in drawing of assemblies, i want to click on the part list items and be redirected on the drawing of the component that i've clicked on.each components has his own drawing, and i want to open it when i clic on it in the part list.

thanks for your help....

RE: hyperlink in ugnx4

This sort of thing should be possible using the BOM capbility of TeamCenter since your data record would logically contain both the model and the drawing files.

RE: hyperlink in ugnx4

I think what you may be looking for are part families and palettes.

Specifically what your question leads me to think of is palettes, to be found under Preferences>Palettes. You can add different files individually or by referencing the contents of and entire directory. The functionality and operation are I think straightforward enough that you may be able to follow them with little additional explanation, and by using the F1 help key as required.

I mention Part families because a common occurrence of such a thing is for fasteners that we define with part families and of which a good many are distributed with NX-5. They are to be found under the installed location ....\UGII\Reuse Library directories. So sorry to hear you're on NX-4 but they're really no so hard to create for yourself as required.

A very good idea is to add Part Family files to palettes to create a very easy way to add fasteners to assemblies. Also look into saving mating conditions is files that you add frequently. As a note to users of constraints in NX-5 and above if anyone knows whether there is an equivalent function to saved mating conditions for constraints then I'd be glad to hear of it and keen to guess if it works as well?

Best Regards
