Shear wall Design, more Detailed

Can anyone teell mee for any other prefered software which can design shear walls with Eurocode,
CSI,s software have not implemented yet shear wall design procedure to,  eurocodesas i know,
I use ETABS for structural analysis but not for design of shear walls.

RE: Shear wall Design, more Detailed

Since I also work with Eurocode I wrote to the CSI and ask them next question:

I'm wondering if Computers & Structures, inc. intends to implement Eurocode 8 provisions to design concrete shear walls.

The answer was:

We recently added Eurocode 2-2004 in ETABS and plan to add the Eurocode 8 as well as shear wall design module in ETABS. We anticipate to complete such item by Fall 2008.

I think that will be a great think,
I actually use ETABS, and Robot, and i make comparasions betwen them. Robot has implemented design of walls to many many codes, but not shear wall design.
When i say " not shear wall design " i thing there are not requirements, for seismic calculations, and detailing,
boundarys in corner of shear wall, requirements for confinet concrete , .....
So Im looking for an good software which can analysis and design of shear walls to eurocode, until the CSI willl implement in ETABS or iany way,
drile007 how do you design shear walls with eurocode, i think do you control with any other software, or yo make hand calculations

Thanks to much ....

I think there's no software to design shear walls, columns, etc. according to EC8. Hope CSI will keep the word and they will add it. Since there is no software for us and the Eurocode is mandatory in our earthquake region country I mostly help myself in designig with MS Excel(VBA)...in other words with my hands:).I'm very curious about result between Robot & Etabs (strictly dynamic analysis):
1) What kind of output in wall do you receive from Robot? Moments, shear and axial forces on the hole wall or forces in belonging FE?
2) Is there a huge difference in results between Robot and Etabs?
3) Can you apply 5% of accidenatal eccentricity?

I mean any paramatric sotware which is not based in finite element procedure, but in parametric input of known values of M,V,N,
For example robobat have one software called ESOP,(Engineering Software Open Platform)which is incorporated in MS Excel(VBA).

About diference of results betwen Robot&Etabs, i have make many many comparasions betwen them, both are very good softwares,

Diferences in results are minimal and acceptable

1) From Robot you can receive Moments, shear axials in wall  i reduced (integrated) form (like pier spandrel results in Etabs) and in FE based,

2) Diferences are minimal

3) The possibility to apply 5% of accidenatal eccentricity, is very easy,

For any complex problem i usually use both Etabs and Robot, and sometimes i use SAP, because i think that Etabs and SAp have some problems in AUTOMATIC MESHING,
I usually never use Automatic meshing in ETABS and SAP
But in Robot i usually use automatic meshing.
