Surface Aerators

Surface Aerators

Surface Aerators

(OP)
We are currently doing a design on a waste water facility to handle about 12MGD.  The design is going to utilize a Carrousel type basin and surface aerators.  I have the decision to make between Wes Techs - Landy Surface Aerators and Eimcos EWT Surface Aerators.  Has anyone used either of these and what are the pros and cons of each?

RE: Surface Aerators

Have you considered talking to Siemens? They are probably the leaders in the oxidation basin business.

Not sure that Westech has extensive experience in oxidation ditches. I would ask to see a reference list.

If you are in a northern climate, you may have freezing problems with surface aerators in the winter. You should check the reference lists for installations. Surface aerators will be more prone to have maintenance issues than brush aerators or disk aerators.
