i will be taking the Certified Floodplain Manager exam this year in april. i would really appreciate any feedback/tips/suggestions in this regard. regards...

RE: CFM exam

Study the homestudy course.  Do not take questions lightly.  Engineers will approach this exam thinking, I know how to scale a map.  And I'm speaking from personal experience, if we are familiar with the question material, we'll tend to "race" through the question and make assumptions.  My advice, read each question twice and don't answer until you understand what is being asked.

thanks; when you say "homestudy course", do you mean FEMA 480 in particular?

RE: CFM exam

There is a FEMA based study guide for this exam.  Take a look at the following site:
http://www.ncafpm.org/CFM.htm
The homestudy course we have has some specific NC questions, but you could skip those.  The newly published Quick Guide, also on the site, would be a good resource for you.
