View Colours in drawings

I would like to be able to bring in fully shaded (as per model view) Iso views into my drawings, but cant get it to shade. I have looked through my general options, view properties and enabled 3D spec/colors with no luck. Note that I am unable to change my xml standards!
Thanks

RE: View Colours in drawings

Don't think it's possible with an option, not sure though. But you can use tools/image/cature in 3D and then later on drawing add it as a picture.

Just curios, what is the need to get a shaded view on a drawing?

It's for a technical manual of sorts!! So it needs to look technical and pretty. I have tried to screen capture in Catia and copied screen ect...but the color quality/shade changes(even set at high res, so not matching the filled sections I have on the drawing. Must be a way as when you are placing the view it does it.

RE: View Colours in drawings

mrlizzard - project your iso view.  Then change the property of the iso view --View tab - scroll to bottom, view generation mode from exact/cgr/approximate to raster.

Derek
