Installation

(OP)
I have just had to reinstall Solid Works 2001 and have the following problem - When i draw a rectangle using
sketch and then try to extrude it everything locks
up. I am running windows 98.
I have had this problem before and I think I
fixed it using options but so long ago i cannot remember
how !!!
             Can any one help

RE: Installation

Your first problem is WIn98. Get rid of it and get something more stable like Win2000 or XP. Win 98, 95 and ME are BADDD memory managers. Just the opposite with 2000 and XP.

Are you running a virus protect when you install SW? This is a bad thing to do when installing SW.

You will need to list the rest of your Hardware for us to better help you.

I hope that helps somewhat,
