Catia V5R18 sub-windows disappear.

Catia V5R18 sub-windows disappear.

We have recently upgraded from Catia V5R16 on Solaris 8 to Catia V5R18 (SP4, HF30) on Solaris 10.  Ever since the upgrade, Catia sub-windows (fly-outs, pop-ups, whatever you want to call them) do not stay on top.  When an item is selected from the main window, the pop-up disappears and the main window has to be moved or minimized to continue entering information into the sub-window.  Catia V5R18 does not exhibit this behavior on Windows XP platform.

Any ideas of where to look for settings that would affect this?  Am running OpenGL 1.5 and CDE on a Blade2000 with XVR-1200 graphic card.

RE: Catia V5R18 sub-windows disappear.

Oooh it was a long time ago I used a unix system but if I remeber correctly there was a setting in the OS about window behavior, I've had this issue also. I can't remember where it was on solaris and unfortunate I don't have solaris now to try on. Hopefully my 5 cents can help someone else to give you the right answer:)

Thank you Azrael,
The issue was the CDE windows settings of "Desktop Controls; Window Style Manager" a setting of "Allow Primary Windows On Top" needed to be de-activated for the pop-up windows to stay on top.
