heat load calculations

Hi. I am a new entrant to the HVAC field. i would like to learn about heat load calculations and duct sizing calculations as applied to the middle eastern region. i would also appreciate any links to free downloadable programs on these subjects.

RE: heat load calculations

I am not sure what you really have available on hand
Read the Carrier Load Estimate book. Or the ASHRAE as a start. At least thats how I started middle east region too.

What software do you use for your load calculations,
By the way when calculating load always refer to country
requirements on weather profile its different than that mentioned in ASHRAE (Higher Values) so it causes problems.

Name the country and I can send you the weather data

RE: heat load calculations

If you are in Saudi Arabia, I may be able to help.

Regards

Khaled
