Using Tee to attach a 24" Manway on a 24" Tower

Using Tee to attach a 24" Manway on a 24" Tower

Using Tee to attach a 24" Manway on a 24" Tower

(OP)
Good Day to all.
I am aware that you don't normally attach a 24" manway on a 24" column but let's just say that I really need to. Is it permitted to use a 24" tee to connect a manway to the a 24" tower? Since the tower itself will be constructed using pipe? Applicable code is ASME VIII. Is this a good idea to get away with mandatory para 1-7?
Thanks in advance for your help.

UStone, see UG-44, if you are in Div. 1.

Mike
