UG NX4 DRAWING VIEW PREVIEWS

(OP)
WHEN INSERTING A BASE VIEW ONTO A DRG SHEET THE DEFAULT SEEMS TO BRING IN A RENDERED VIEW UNTIL THE VIEW IS POSITIONED ON THE SHEET - ON LARGE ASSY MODELS THIS CAN BE A LITTLE FRUSTRATING DUE TO VIEW REGENERATION TIME - ANYONE KNOW THE LOCATION OF THE SETTING TO DISABLE THIS RENDERED PREVIEW ?

RE: UG NX4 DRAWING VIEW PREVIEWS

Sure,

In the drafting application use Preferences>Style, and under the Preview tab change from shaded to wireframe.

It doesn't seem to be a remember setting from session to session in NX-4 so go into the File>Utilities>Customer Defaults, under Drafting>General and look for the Preview Tab you should be able to change it there. If the System Administrator is BOFHwink he may have locked you out of changing that so perhaps you'll need to ask permission to get it changed on a more permanent basis.

Best Regards

Did you not mean Preferences > Drafting > Preview > View Style?
