Has anyone gotten the new ACI 318? Are there major changes?  I'm  attending the Spring convention and noticed that ACI is offering a seminar on this subject, but I am on a budget and am trying to decided if the information presented in the seminar justifies the extra expenses.

RE: ACI 318-08

One of the changes they've made is to Appendix D. There are now some updated provisions and some guidance as to how to account for reinforcing steel.

I don't think you need to go to a convention for that part. You could just sit down one afternoon and go through a few examples.

But I don't really know what else changed.

Actually I am attending the covention for a different purpose, and the seminar is on the last day.  I just wanted to see if it was necessary to stay the extra days. Thanks for the input.

RE: ACI 318-08

They did revamp the analysis portion of chapter 10 and i think it is much better now.
