Reducing friction coeff of concrete

Reducing friction coeff of concrete

Reducing friction coeff of concrete

(OP)
Anybody got any suggestions on suitable coatings/paints for contact between two concrete surface? The codes seem to indicate you have to take a coeff of between 0.5 and 1 (when its beneficial) - i need to reduce that somewhere below 0.3, which is prob the max i can get away with.

Theres a fairly sizeable load on the concrete so the coating (or similiar) needs to be fairly hardy

RE: Reducing friction coeff of concrete

And what is the expected stress on the coating (load per unit area)?

Its a one off 300mm movement taking place slowly (years rather than days) & the load on the surface is 130kPa. It only moves one way & like i said it only happens once.

I think I'm using a sliding bearing now, but I'm still interested in what is alternatives there are, maybe some sort of bituminous paint...? I'm not really sure, not my area of expertise!
