Problem in importing mesh file

Problem in importing mesh file

Problem in importing mesh file

(OP)
I have a problem in importing mesh file from icem cfd to ansys (version 11).The mesh file obtained is in the .tin format. Is there some method in order to import this format of files in ansys? If not what type of formats can be supported by ansys in importing the files of the icem cfd?

RE: Problem in importing mesh file

Hi

First of all the .tin file format isn't a mesh format it is the geometry format for icem.
There are two ways of exporting the mesh to ANSYS:
- Use the export mesh and use ANSYS, icem will write out a input file with the mesh.
- If you are in Workbench you need to go to FE-modeler, and make a initial geometry from the mesh.
