SW2009 automatically uses vb 6.0 not vb.net

(OP)
For some reason when I installed SW2009 on my computer it reverted back to using the same version of visual basic that SW used in SW2008 and before. I thought SW switched to visual basic.net as their main macro editor. I contacted TriMech, which is our SolidWorks distributor but they didn't know how to fix it.
Did anyone else have this problem when they installed SW2009?

RE: SW2009 automatically uses vb 6.0 not vb.net

Did you install the VSTA components?  If you used the Installation Manager they should have installed as a pre-req for SW2009.  You can download the component from the SW website.

jcoult,
You can use visual basic.net to create an executable and use a macro to run that executable.
