How to purge a pasted block

How to purge a pasted block

How to purge a pasted block

(OP)
I created a sketch and defined a block in an assembly model. Then I selected the sketch and copied using Control C. Then I opend another part model, selected a face and then Control V and pasted it in. Been doing this often, works well. But then I changed the original block in the assembly model, re copied it went to my part model deleted the copied sketch and block, then pasted in the modified sketch and block but the old one shows up.
How can I purge the block out of a model when it was pasted in.

Thanks,
Tom

RE: How to purge a pasted block

Have you tried selecting it and hit the delete key on the keyboard? Or select it in the feature tree?

Yes, I deleted it completely and saved and closed the file. Reopened the file pasted in the new one but the old one still shows up instead.
