Can you upgrade a menu structure from previous releases?
The problem I have is that in NX6 manufacturing/turning I have machined a part using template from previous similar job which was produced using NX5.
I now need to alter the program in NX6 but the menu structure is not the same as if creating a path from new in NX6.
can the menu be upgraded to NX6?

RE: template menu

Yes you can.

There is an option in NX where you can update the dialog customization from another dialog or template.  Highlight the operation(s) you want to update and right click and select Object – Customize From.  This brings up the update customization dialog. I think this was added in NX4.  Select the objects you want to update and the object you want to copy the customization from.  Then Click Update from Template.  This should update the dialogs to the latest release. You need to have the desired "type" available.  You can do this by selecting create operation and changing the type to Turning in this case.  You do not need to create an operation just select the type and cancel the menu.  You will want to update the tool dialog as they have changed from version to version as well.
