Solution strength for ferric chloride

Solution strength for ferric chloride

(OP)
Can anyone give me where I can get the solution strength for commercial ferric chloride?

Thanks in advance

RE: Solution strength for ferric chloride

Am sure there must be several chemical suppliers in your yellow pages but one of the top notch suppliers of inorganic coagulants such as Ferric Chloride across North America, and Latin America is Eaglebrook Inc.  US phone # 1-800 428 3311 or look at www.eaglebrook.net
Good hunting

RE: Solution strength for ferric chloride

Typical analysis of Ferric Chloride:

specific gravity = 1.40 - 1.50
FeCl3 % w/w = 40 - 45

undesired components:
FeCl2 % w/w  < 0.5 - 0.1
HCl % w/w    < 0.5 - 0.1

unaceptable components:
Cr(VI) & heavy metals

Regards,
LS
