Master database error

I launched Solidworks this morning and recieved the following error message "unable to open master database". I closed and restarted and it seems to be okay. Any ideas on what this was?

I'm using :

SW2009 SP1.0
NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500
pentium D CPU 3.00GHz
Windows XP (Service Pack 3)

RE: Master database error

Is this the first time this has happened?  If it never happens again we'll pretend that it was just a lack of coffee, but it might have something to do with the Toolbox or Hole Wizard.

Yes it was the first time. I looked around the web and found nothing.

RE: Master database error

Could that be network related?  Perhaps your network had a hiccup and everything is fine now.

If I'm reading correctly in 2006 it may have been a microsoft problem. I am running SP3 on XP. I put an e-mail into my VAR. if i get anything more than "it will be fixed in the next service pack", i'll let everyone know.

thanks to all for your support. Man this is a great knowledge base.
