Jet fans - CFD acceptance - how to?

Jet fans - CFD acceptance - how to?

Jet fans - CFD acceptance - how to?

(OP)
Hi all,

Can some one help me with the acceptance criteria for the cfd assessment of Jet fans. From all the literature i read about jet fans designed with the use of CFD, nothing touched on the acceptance criteria. e.g. the minimum velocity allowed or others. They do however mentioned that the jet fans be position where no 'dead spots' is observed.

Can anyone explain what 'dead spots' is? and how is it defined.

Thank you.
Shim
