In-Contexted Sketched Entities Referencing Old Projects When Copied

In-Contexted Sketched Entities Referencing Old Projects When Copied

In-Contexted Sketched Entities Referencing Old Projects When Copied

(OP)
Using SolidWorks 2006 SP4.1;

Used Solidworks Explorer to copy documents.
Previously in-contexted entities are not being broken. Previous projects are updating when I make changes to the new project.

Anyone know why SolidWorks Explorer does not break previously in-contexted sketches to reference only the new project?

Any response will be greatly appreciated!

RE: In-Contexted Sketched Entities Referencing Old Projects When Copied

Because Explorer is designed to not break in-contexted relationships with SW files and its been like this since its release of explorer many years ago. Its in the coding of the software itself and its not something added afterwards. This should be something you ask your VAR, however I know they will not be able to answer and I doubt SW will tell them that secret.
