Gasket meshing problem

I try to model a simple Gasket problem but I can't mesh the Gasket region, I get an error. Does anyone have faced this error? Please see the picture attached.

Thanks a lot

RE: Gasket meshing problem

Be sure that TYPE is set to the correct element type for your gasket.  Also, make certain that gasket elements are in fact 2D.  Sorry, I don't have any experience with them.

The element type is set to be the correct one, it's 2D either. I don't know what might be the reason for this error. Anyway thanks a lot for the help.

I think I found the solution. The error was because I wasn't following the right meshing procedure. The help is very clear about this.
