FAILURE RATES FRO COAX SWITCHES

Hi
What model would be used to determine failure rate for a RF COAX swith?
Tks
Phil

RE: FAILURE RATES FRO COAX SWITCHES

It will depend on the application, right?  Is the cable in a non-static enviornement, i.e. large temperature swings, always bending / moving, etc..

Did you contact the COAX manufacturer?

Many tks! Is this covered somewhere in MIL-HDBK-217. Is there a model I could use?
Thanks for your help!

RE: FAILURE RATES FRO COAX SWITCHES

the MIL-HDBK-217 software packages probably have sometime to cover that.  Bellcore is another methodology that should have something, and is supposedly based on actual field data.
