Teamcenter & UG Functionality Checklist?

Teamcenter & UG Functionality Checklist?

Teamcenter & UG Functionality Checklist?

(OP)
Hi Everyone,

I'm curious to know if anyone has a Teamcenter 2007 and Unigrpahics NX4 checklist.

The company I work for is in the proces of installing Teamcenter 2007 & UG NX 4 onto its workstations.  I would like to have a checklist to validate some functionalities, such as Exporting/Importing, Issuing drawing capabilities, etc.

Just curious if anyone has a template out there that may be useful for me.

Thanks for the assistance...

RE: Teamcenter & UG Functionality Checklist?

Why anyone would choose NX-4 of NX-5 or maybe even NX-6 is beyond me. You suffer more problems dealing with 64Bit operating systems for less functionality in using the older versions.

You may do well to search this forum for posts about Teamcenter. What I will tell you is that importing and exporting files from teamcenter databases is not a completely fluid process and there are rules that you have to observe. However if you're willing to customise it teamcenter will operate to control a database that holds a multitude of file times other than just CAD data. I'm sure you'll get a list of what it can do from your reseller and that you'll find that most of your expectations can be met.

Perhaps the main thing that you have to work at a little harder than you might in a native system is exchanging data with external sources especially translated assemblies and the like.

Cheers

Hudson
