Den Hartog - Mechanical Vibrations

RE: Den Hartog - Mechanical Vibrations

Let me be the first to vote you a star.  It's a classic book.  I have the hardcopy already, but having it electronically also is a good convenience.

Thank you!
I can't be the first to do so,  but I certainly think this merits a star.
Several stars - what a find!

RE: Den Hartog - Mechanical Vibrations

Is this a legal resource?

The electronic version of this book was contributed by Osmania University in Hyderabad, India.

I wonder if they have the right to contribute what must be copyrighted material to this system?

RE: Den Hartog - Mechanical Vibrations

Here is some info about the organization that hosts the site:
http://www.archive.org/about/about.php

They look legitimate to me.
They are a non-profit organization. If you click on Bio's you can see the people that work there.  They give a physcial address.

Copyrights has a time limit - somewhere around 75 years I think.  This is the 3rd edition of the book... very old and certainly not the most recent (I have the hardcopy of the 4th edition).  I suspect the copyright is no longer enforceable based on the age.
