Electrical Distribution Line Design

(OP)
I read the recent Thread re: Electrical Transmission Line Design References.

I am researching to find any software out there for Electrical Distribution Line Design - both load and structural (e.g. sag and stress analysis...).  I have visited many sites and most seem to be for Transmission, not Distribution.

Anyone know of any such software for Distribution?

RE: Electrical Distribution Line Design

Several years ago I developed a spreadsheet for distribution line design in Australia which is in fairly wide use, and I have recently modified it for the US.  Keen to have some critical assessment of it and happy to supply it for evaluation.  It works in Excel and has a graphical user interface with drop down menus for just about everything you can think of.  Original is in SI units but the new version is in FPS.

RE: Electrical Distribution Line Design

Aardvark, I'd like to test it, if you don't mind.

Post me you email addy.

RE: Electrical Distribution Line Design

aardvark, your offer may generate numerous requests for the next year.  You might want to consider posting it for 'anonymous ftp' somewhere.  Possibly another reader familiar with the process and having the drive space may volunteer to do that.
