I have a number of models of sand cores for various cylinder head components from which I want to project a silhouette edge in plan view. As you can imagine with oil galleries and water jackets the shapes can be quite complicated with a lot of small faces therefore manually selecting each face seems like an endless task. Is there an easy way of doing this or is Christmas really cancelled this year??? The link shows one of the easier shapes.

RE: Silhouette edge

To clarify, you just want an outline (without face/tangent edge details) of the part in a "top" drawing view?

cheers

Correct. I've just discovered the great improvement that,s been made to the sketch repair tool in Sw2009 that I,m sure will make life a lot easier.
