Mannings.exe
Mannings.exe
(OP)
Just a warning. The free program, Mannings.exe,which was posted on this site, appears to contain some errors.
http://www.wq.uiuc.edu/dg/Equations/Mannings.exe
For example;
As most engineers know, in a circular pipe, the velocity of flow at full depth is the same as the velocity at half full. The program Mannings.exe, however, reports different velocities in this situation. The program also appears to have other problems, or at least ambiguities.
The author(s) of the program are not identified so I am not able to contact them. If anyone knows who they are they may wish to look into, and correct any problems. Meanwhile use this program with caution, of you use it at all.
