What happened to ACI 408.1R-79 ???

What happened to ACI 408.1R-79 ???

What happened to ACI 408.1R-79 ???

(OP)
Hello All;

I'm trying to obtain a copy of ACI 408.1R-79(Revised1984), "Suggested Development, Splice and Standard Hook Provisions for Deformed Bars in Tension", but cannot find it at any of the nearby Universities and the ACI website does not seem to have the report available.

Does anyone know what happened to 408.1R?  Has it been superceded or withdrawn?  Does anyone have a copy they can post;  I would suppose that if withdrawn or superceded (and unavailable), it would not be a breach of copyright to post it...

Regards,

YS

RE: What happened to ACI 408.1R-79 ???

There was a 408.1R-90. I don't know if since then it has been combined into another section.

Thanks guys;  I'll try to run it to ground.  I'll post if I find out more...

Anyone else find ACI pretty frustrating when it comes to this kind of thing?  I wish they would just keep some information up on the superceded/withdrawn papers; How do you ever find out if something HAS been withdrawn and why?  Seems quite silly really...

Cheers,

YS
