Using Table A3 in B31.1

Using Table A3 in B31.1

Using Table A3 in B31.1

(OP)
I have a pretty simple question.

I have a Design Temp of 70degC  (158degF). When obtaining the Max allowable stress from table A3 in B31.1 can I interpolate to get S at my design temperature.

ie.

From -20 to 100F S= 16700psi
Up to 200F S= 14300psi

Can I interpolate and use S= 15308psi?

Or do I have to use S= 14300psi?

RE: Using Table A3 in B31.1

Can I interpolate and use S= 15308psi?  YES
