Auto expose variables

Auto expose variables

(OP)
Hi All,

Is there a way in V20 to expose the 2 variables (below) automatically, once the flat pattern has been created? Instead of, creating the flat pattern and manually exposing via the variable table

Flat_Pattern_Model_CutSizeY & Flat_Pattern_Model_CutSizeX

RE: Auto expose variables

Possibly put them in your template file as exposed?

Unfortunately Beachcomber, these vars are only created once a flat pattern has been produced and you manually expose them. I was hoping someone knew a method or had a pre-wriiten script or VB marco that would automate the process. I will have a go at writing a VB Macro this weekend.

I have a major client, who in their infinate wisdom has decide that they require a flat pattern cut size in the draft as part of the part-list. This is a pain as we're 75% through the project, but they pay the bills

I hadn't eposed the variables as I didn't think they were required :( Even though the flat patterns are on seperate sheets and manually dimensioned for reference.

Cheers

Aaahhhh - the joys of the client changing their mind !!!
Did you get the "Oh, by-the-way, did we tell you..."?

A variable table manager, similar to Property Manager - that would be nice.
