Customized Hole Wizard

Customized Hole Wizard

Customized Hole Wizard

(OP)
Is it possible to customize the hole wizard selections? As it is right now, when making a tapped hole you press the tapped hole button, then choose the type, size, end conditions and finally options where you can choose between a tap drill diameter, cosmetic thread and remove thread.
I was wondering if one can customize hole wizard so that when you press the tap hole button the only options available are type, size and end conditions so that the cosmetic thread options becomes a standard.  we have had some problems between our engineers and machinists since some prints have cosmetic threads and some don't.
Also I was wondering if it was possible to remove the fit options on the counterbore feature so that the only option available is normal. We also have some problems cause some accidentally choose loose or fit. We have our own standard hole sizes which I already incorporated to the Solidworks database, so most of these options are pointless and are just causing problems.

Is any of this achievable?
Thanks,

RE: Customized Hole Wizard

I don't know of a way to remove or limit the standard options offered.

The best way is to train the users to stick to company standards and make their selections carefully. An electric shock is said to be excellent aid in training.

cheers
