Mathcad Equation Text Size

Mathcad Equation Text Size

Mathcad Equation Text Size

(OP)
A problem that I consistently have with MathCAD is when it generates long equations that I need to contain on one page.  Does anyone know how to fix this?  There should be a way to wrap the text to fit on the same page.  I can't even figure out how to decrease the text size of the equations.

RE: Mathcad Equation Text Size

I think there is a "continue equation" symbol

If there is a plus sign in the equation, you can wrap the equation by locating the cursor just after the plus sign, and pressing Ctrl+Enter.

An easy way to change the text size is with the Formatting Toolbar.  From the View menu, select Toolbars, Formatting to show that toolbar. Then, with the cursor, select the text you wish to shrink and select a new font size from the drop down menu in the toolbar.  All the text of the type you selected should update.

miecz

that works for text, but not for equations.

Also, I usually use the ctrl+enter key before the Plus sign.  The way you describe it, you get two plus signs in the equation, and that looks bad.

I don't think there's anything you can do about the size of an automatically generated equation; you can use the ctl-+ option to split your own equations at a '+' sign.

Math styles, as pointed out in a previous post, allow you to change the font size, but as Mathcad presents the results in 'Variables' format (plus constants, I think, for numbers), which is the usual default style, changing the font will affect pretty well everything.

Another option is to use Landscape pages - again noting that this will affect the entire worksheet.

You need to replace the plus sign with ctrl+enter, not put ctrl+enter before the plus sign.
