has anyone come across a syzer for compressed air pipes similar to a ductulator or a system syzer from bell & gosset? thanks!

RE: compressed air pipe syzer

What's a duckilizer?

RE: compressed air pipe syzer

Both "ductulators" and "system syzers" are circular slide rules that predate computers & software. They were/are popular with people doing HVAC work. I've never done much with ducting, so I don't know if they've got software - but they no doubt do. The system syzer from Bell & Gossett has been available as software for years.

I've still got the old circular slide rules, though I haven't used them for a long time.

so do you know of a softwareritized circular slide rule for compressed air? thanks tbp

RE: compressed air pipe syzer

I've never seen a stand-alone one for compressed air. People like ABZ and Crane have it as part of their piping design software packages.

RE: compressed air pipe syzer

No.  Sounds like a heck of an idea though.  If we had one of those, we could throw these PC things away.

My understanding is that a "duckilizer" is a device commonly used on a farm....... for sizing ducks...
