Dynamic bellows
Dynamic bellows
(OP)
I have constructed some bellows in an assembly that will expand and contract when I move the parts to which it is attached but only after "ctrl Q". I'm sure I should be able to do this dynamically but I can't think how to do it, can
anyone advise me please.

Files posted. This is a crude set of parts just to see if I could make it work.

Dynamic visualisation can be achieved in 2D layout sketches.

This job can't handle by solid works or any other cad modelers; This job handled by FEA analyzers, cad modelers only can create a solid model that they can show us a volume of solid. if you want to make some dynamical analysis on this solid models that you use them as part of machine in one assembly; then you can only perform dynamical analysis for showing the relations between your mechanisms and it's kinematics, that means the solid models just can have physical characters like: Velocity, accelerate & displacements, none of this characters contain no deflection or deformation on the solid model, but if you want to perform a simulations that the forces cause to changing on the volume of solid such as deflection or deformations; then the solid model must be meshed, that means your solid model estimated by rectangular or polygonal or etc members then you can see the volume changes on your parts that some forces effect them. This job must be handled by FEA Software's such as MSC NASTRAN, ANSYS, COSMOS and etc.
It this assembly you have a revolved solid that has two caps at the end of it you can do this analysis to obtain the solid deformation and displacements that occurred when you apply a force on it, you can use Cosmos for it,
I have a analysis like this that I do it in ANSYS, in this study an expansion joint was effected by force in outward of cylinder (Reverse mode is your study) you can see the solid that estimated by FE (FINITE ELEMENT) members, in this case I use paver mashing method.
