Re-Referencing Split BodyÆs For Different Assemblies

Re-Referencing Split BodyÆs For Different Assemblies

(OP)
Using SolidWorks 2006;

I designed a frame structure in the "weld environment" and saved all individual components as splitbody files. I made a copy of the same frame structure in a different assembly with different part numbers. The frame is referencing the previous assembly.

I've tried ("save as", "replace reference") as well as make a copy in solidworks explorer and the file continues to reference the previous assembly.

I would like to know how to change the solid body's external reference so it references the new assembly?

Any response will be greatly appreciated!
