(OP)
Hi guys,I am new to this forum and would like some advise about pre owned laser cutters.
My company are looking at Amada or Trump but can not decide on which is best, the trump has a 3kw resonator cuts very fast compared to our plasma but has a price tag of 50k if the RF resonator fails.
The Amada is also a RF resonator made by Fanuc 4kw on this forum people seem to think the Fanuc seems very reliable but the turbo blower fails after 12000 hours and the mirrors go in less than 4000 hours.
Do any of you use either of these machines and if so which do you feel is best and most reliable.
Look forward to hearing from you all

I also used to operate a tl3030 a tl2530 and a tl5030 from trumpf for thin matl the trumpf is definately quicker. not neccesarily cutting speed but time between cuts is definately quicker on the trumpf machines as they use sprintlas which is to say matl is pierced as head decennds and cut starts as soon as head height is reached.
RE: Best laser
I'm guessing the machine was ~8 years old and had been lightly used but, er, lightly maintained.
[ The amount of crud around and under the machine was about what you would expect for a much older mechanical-only machine, much more than you would expect under an expensive CNC machine. During disassembly, I came to believe that the operator/jobsetter is nearly blind, and just couldn't see the dirt. ... which may explain some of the laser problems. ]

RE: Best laser
Less parts in the resonator to go bad....great service.
We have 2 Mitsubishi Lasers ML3718Plus with automation.
So far no issues I cut 1" ms plate 72 x 144 sheet, the good stuff of cores....no substitute for good steel!! Good luck with your choice.
