delayed displacement time history

delayed displacement time history

delayed displacement time history

Can i apply same displacement time history in the two supports of bridge?
(same history in the other support but starts from time td(delayed time))
Or
do you have other suggestions?
Please help me

RE: delayed displacement time history

I believe you need to have two different time histories, one delayed with respect to the other.  This is one of many things that SAP cannot handle.

RE: delayed displacement time history

You can have multiple time histories in one case, each delayed with respect to one another, and even based on different TH functions and loads or displacements. Checkbox the 'Advanced load parameters' option when defining the time history case to see what I'm talking about

Thank you but the sap which i have is vesion 10 indeed,
I cannt find the 'Advanced load parameters' option. What do you recommend?

Sorry, Do you mean arrival time?
If yes, is it going to apply same record with only delayed time, or it will change the function shape(such like amplitude and frequency)?

and how about the " Angle" does it mean the angle between the force and the element local access?
